At Northamptonshire Rights and Equality Council much of what we do involves the police. Whether it’s talking to young people about stop and search or working with victims of hate crime, much of the bread and butter of what we do involves local policing. So when there’s a change in one of the people at the top, it’s something that we are interested in.
Many people across the County have already received polling cards, however most people don’t know exactly what choices they have on polling day. We’ve been working with our friends at Voluntary Impact Northamptonshire to create an opportunity where people can get up close and person with the candidates for this election. This is aimed primarily at people involved in local voluntary or community activity which can be anything from helping at a local Mums and Tots group to charities providing specialist services to people experiencing on-line harassment. You can find out more about the event here.
